Dear Friends and Supporters,
Here is a brief end of year report, to update you on the continuing work of Warriors of Praise Ministries Trust, in Uganda for the year 2024. None of this would have happened without those who faithfully support us in financial giving and those who pray! We are truly grateful for the way you have continued to stand with us to see our vision fulfilled.
Over the last year we have been able to send students to school, many on bursaries , obtained through the persistence of Pastor Stephen Musisi and Geofrey Okot. We have supplied school materials, uniforms and sports kits and also sent out food parcels to needy families in the Kabowa area of Kampala.
At Hope House, special days of football games, played against other school teams,
award ceremonies, food parcel distribution, meals shared with hungry children, prayer and Bible study and so much more!
The house built for Pastor Steve and his family is now lived in and enjoyed. There are also two units of living space being developed in the grounds of the Pastor’s home, which when completed will be rented out to provide a regular income for Pastor Steve and his family.
In Wakiso, where Geofrey, Daphine and their family live, we also built a home for them.
It is quite a large structure and Geofrey has turned the bottom half of the house into the
Warriors of Praise Nursery School! What could have been their garden is now a playground, where the children play on the swings and the older girls learn netball.
The school has been registered and approximately 30+ children attend. The parents are encouraged to be involved and those that are able contribute to the costs of educating the children.
This last year we have provided teachers salaries, furniture, equipment and computers as well as end of term celebrations including food parcels and award ceremonies!
Geofrey and Daphine have a big vision for the increase of this school, but at this time, financial restrictions prevent us from further development.
So what of 2025 for W0P Ministries Trust?
Changes are about to take place within the Board of Trustees. One of our long standing trustees, has recently resigned, having served us faithfully for many years. We will shortly be meeting as a Board to discuss his replacement.
We will also be meeting to look into our aims for this year, which will include the continuing education and feeding of as many disadvantaged and poor children as we can, also fund raising so we can continue to complete the ongoing building projects both in Kampala and in Wakiso.
If you feel moved in your heart to help us achieve these goals, do let us know. Fund raising events would be especially welcome!
We will provide further costings from the budget’s received from Pastor Steve and Geofrey, as soon as the up to date figures are received.
Meanwhile, thank you for all your interest and we wish you a vey happy new year, 2025, with good health, prosperity and peace.
