Mid-Year Update: Transforming Lives and Bringing Hope in Uganda

Greetings from Uganda, and praise God!

As we reach the midway point of the year, we look back with immense gratitude. God has brought the WarriorsofPraise Uganda project so far since January, and we are full of faith for everything He will accomplish in the remaining half of the year.

From the heart of the Kabowa slums to our growing school campus, here is how your support is changing lives.

1. Sports Academy: Rescuing Youth & Restoring Hope

In Kabowa, our days are beautifully busy. We are actively transforming young lives and protecting them from the vulnerabilities of the streets—including drug abuse, theft, early marriage, and dropping out of school.

Through our Sports Program, we use football and other activities to give hopeless situations a bright future.

A Victory for Ronald

Our mentorship goes far beyond the field. Just recently, we stepped in to advocate for one of our academy boys, Okuqu Ronald. Ronald was facing an unfair situation at his previous school, which resulted in his expulsion. We refused to let his education end there. We successfully fought for his future, and Ronald is now happily enrolled at London High School, where he will complete his A-Levels!

The Impact of Sports Scholarships

Ronald is just one example. Through our sports network, we have helped dozens of boys and girls secure sports scholarships at various schools.

To ensure they succeed, we step in at the start of every term with:

• Scholastic materials (books, pens, and supplies)
• School fees contributions

By doing this, we eliminate the financial hurdles for parents and guardians. The families are incredibly grateful, and the community is seeing a tangible, positive transformation.

2. Warriorspraise School: Quality Education & Employment

What started as a humble initiative has blossomed into a beacon of quality education. Warriorspraise School (Nursery and Primary) is making a massive impact on local children and their caretakers.

Then: 3 Teachers ➔ Now: 5 Dedicated Teachers + 1 School Cook

• Holistic Development: We don’t just teach; we cultivate a strong reading culture, promote Godly values, and develop each child’s unique talents. We are raising well-rounded children.
• Job Creation: Our growth has allowed us to employ five teachers and a school cook. These educators now have stable employment, enabling them to provide for their own families and look to the future with hope.
• Campus Upgrades: We are currently improving our school premises to ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for our students and a comfortable workspace for our staff.

Looking Ahead: Tripling Our Efforts

Running this project is a team effort. It is made possible through the small, faithful contributions of our local parents, and the immense generosity of our global family.
