Uganda Overview

Projects in Uganda began in the 1990’s, when as a ministry, we were involved in raising funds for bricks, for a young Ugandan Pastor we had met in Sweden! He was carrying a passion for his country and a vision to see it transformed from poverty to prosperity.
The bricks were used in two projects, first to build a property in Kampala.

The Hope Centre

This property is today “the Hope Centre” and is used for training and educating young boys and girls from the local slum area of Kabowa.
Computer classes, football and netball training, dressmaking classes and basic education are all held here, while some of the students have gained places in local schools in Kampala city. Bursaries are required to send more children to senior school.

Lumpewe

The second place the bricks were used was in an area south of Kampala, called Lumpewe, near Lawero.

A church was built and on the adjoining land, a school has also been developed, which today educates 300+ orphaned and disadvantaged children. A water and electricity supply has been added in recent years,
thanks to other ministries participating in the development.

Slum project – Kampala

This has left us free to focus on other projects, especially the slum project in Kampala. These are the current projects which need investment and help.
