A Special Christmas Appeal for Uganda
Prov19:17, Mat25:40
To all our friends and encouragers!
As we come into the end of autumn school term and begin preparations for Christmas here in UK, I have been challenged by our Project Manager working in the slum areas of Uganda to raise £1000 so that we can send out Christmas food bags to the families of the children for whom we are providing education and sport and skills training!
These families are amongst the poorest people in Uganda and are being given hope through hearing the gospel and education for a better future! When we talk about food bags we are talking about basic essentials such as rice, flour, oil, lentils and maybe a pack of biscuits!
No luxuries just what is needed to feed the families through the Christmas holiday season before they return to their schools in the new year!
If you feel you would like to help in any way please send any donations to our charity account and of course, more than anything else, we appreciate your prayer and encouragement for our work in Uganda! Blessings always!

Update from Geofrey below:
Dear Papa and Mama Connie,
Greetings to you all!
We take this opportunity to thank you for your great effort and support throughout this year. Your contributions towards the ministry in Uganda have touched and transformed many lives, and we are deeply grateful.
1. Charity
Currently, we are in the third term long holiday, which will last until the end of January. All our beneficiaries have returned to their respective homes after having a successful and enjoyable time at school. During the holiday, we are engaging them in various skill-building programs, including football, netball, counseling and guidance, computer classes, and the Feed the Hungry program.
Through the Christmas package outreach that you always provide, the beneficiaries are able to enjoy Christmas like everyone else. What a blessing it is for someone to think of others in such a special way!
2. Scholastic Materials and School Fees Contributions
This program has truly blessed many lives, enabling underprivileged children to attend school. It has brought smiles and renewed hope to countless families. By supporting this initiative, we have significantly reduced the chances of our beneficiaries missing school each year.
We sincerely thank you for your tireless efforts and generous support.
3. Warriors Praise Junior and Pre-School
Once again, we thank you for the tremendous support you have given towards the running of our school from its very beginning. We are excited to inform you that we have successfully completed our first year!
The school has allowed us to introduce quality education services, talent development programs for the learners, and enhanced well-being for the staff and parents in the community.
Throughout the year, we organized key events, such as:
- Sports Day: This event helped parents recognize their children’s talents outside of the classroom.
- End-of-Year Music, Dance, and Drama: The performances amazed parents and showcased the incredible abilities of their children.
- Kindergarten Level 3 Graduation: This milestone brought great joy and pride to the parents.
Challenges Faced
Despite the progress, we have encountered some challenges, including:
- Delays in school fee payments by some parents
- Water shortages due to the unreliable national water supply
- Rising prices of goods countrywide
- Insufficient classroom furniture
- Limited classrooms
Suggestions for Improvement
To further develop the school, we propose the following:
- Building more classrooms
- Constructing an underground dug well to address water shortages
- Adding more furniture in the classrooms
Conclusion
In conclusion, we thank you wholeheartedly for everything you have done for us, including the brass band that accompanied all our events throughout the year. The band has also helped create awareness of our school’s existence within the community.
We are truly grateful for your continued support, and we pray that God blesses you abundantly.
Yours sincerely,
Geofrey Okot
